Meet our Team

Sarah Schlesinger joined Weston Veterinary Clinic in the Spring of 2011. Sarah was born in Newton, Massachusetts but grew up in Plainsboro, NJ. She graduated in 1996 with her B.S. in biology and in 1999 with her M.S. in molecular biology from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. She attended Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2003. After finishing vet school, she received further training at Angell Animal Medical Center – Western New England through a small animal medical and surgical internship in 2003-2004. Prior to joining Weston, Dr. Schlesinger spent the past 7 years practicing emergency and critical care medicine in Waltham, MA.

She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association, the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society. Her professional interests include endocrine disorders, geriatric medicine and pain management.

In her spare time, Sarah enjoys hiking, cycling, and kayaking with her family (husband and two sons), brewing beer, gardening, cooking and costume design and construction.

Dr. Neil Storey, Chief of Staff, joined Weston Veterinary Clinic in 2001. Neil was born and raised in England, and graduated with a B.Sc. Honors Degree in Applied Biology from the University of Salford in 1982. In 1985 Dr. Storey was awarded a Ph.D. in Zoology from the University of Nottingham for his studies in parasite immunology.

In 1987, he joined New England Biolabs in Beverly, Massachusetts and later became a Senior Scientist with BASF in Cambridge. He returned to the classroom after being accepted at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, and received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. As a student at Tufts, Neil received awards in small animal medicine and surgery, anesthesia and academic excellence. Working as a small animal practitioner, Dr. Storey has professional interests in general medicine, surgery, infectious diseases and internal parasites. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association.

Neil and his wife share their home with Saffron, their young Golden Retriever. When he is not on the sofa watching English soccer, Neil is likely to be out running or hiking on country trails with “Saffy”. She also accompanies him to work where she is happy to meet and greet her Golden cousins.

Dr. Kelly Bentley has been an Associate at Weston Veterinary Clinic since 2001. She was raised in Bellingham, Massachusetts. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology in 1992. She first became interested in veterinary medicine while working as a volunteer at the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Queensland, Australia during a semester abroad in her undergraduate program.

She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University in 2000 following several years as a 4-H instructor and veterinary technician. She also has experience as a volunteer with the Pet Loss Support Hotline through Tufts University. It was her work as a veterinary technician and volunteer that motivated her to pursue her career in Veterinary Medicine. Her professional interests include internal medicine, dentistry and senior pet care. She is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association.

Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, reading and cooking. Most of all, she loves spending time with her husband, their two sons and their golden retriever.

Dr. Kimberly Heald completed her undergraduate degree at Bowdoin College and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University in 1996. Upon graduation, Dr. Heald continued her education by completing a one -year medical and surgical internship at Veterinary Specialists in West Hartford, Connecticut. Raised in Weston, Dr. Heald returned to Massachusetts to assume the role of Associate for four years at Brookline Animal Hospital.

She and her husband, Dr. Krawshuk, have two children, two dogs and two cats.. Dr. Heald took a temporary hiatus until the children were old enough for her to return to her passion of veterinary medicine. She is excited to bring at-home veterinary care to the areas of metro west Boston that she calls home.

Michael Krawshuk joined Weston Veterinary Clinic in 2003. Mike was born and raised in West Hartford, Connecticut. He graduated in 1993 with his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Gettysburg College. He then attended Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 1997. Upon graduation, he completed a small animal medical and surgical internship in Darien, Connecticut. Prior to joining Weston as a full time Associate, Dr. Krawshuk had 4 plus years of small animal experience in private practice, and has developed expertise in emergency and critical care skills.

He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association and the American Animal Hospital Association. He is also an active member with the Tufts Veterinary Alumni Association.

In his spare time, Mike enjoys golf and tennis, fine wine, gardening and spending lots of time with his family. His family includes his wife and two children, two dogs and two cats.
