COVID-19 Updates

Dear Clients,

Amid the increasing restrictions surrounding Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and in an effort to keep our staff, clients, community and patients safe, we have decided to implement the following guidelines at Weston Veterinary Clinic. With the hope of decreasing potential exposure, we will be adjusting our current workflow for when you visit the clinic.

Beginning Monday, March 16, 2020, we will be limiting wellness appointments and elective procedures in order to ensure we can remain open for those pets who need urgent care while following social distancing guidelines. We will ask all clients to remain in their car when arriving at the clinic and for the duration of the appointment. Please call the office at (781) 899-5377 to announce your arrival and we will triage your pet’s appointment or your needs from the car.

Additionally, we will provide curbside product and prescription pick up should you need refills. Please call the clinic to request any items you may need and we will prepare them in anticipation of your arrival.

In addition, please follow the below guidelines when visiting the clinic.

  • If you are healthy and otherwise feeling well, we ask that you remain in your car and call the clinic once you arrive for your appointment. We will check you in and take your pet’s history over the phone. A technician will come out to your car to retrieve your pet and we will ask that you remain in your car for the duration of the appointment. Please be sure your pet is secured with a leash or in a carrier and easily accessible in the back seat. Your veterinarian will call you once the appointment is complete to discuss recommendations.
  • If you are feeling unwell and your pet is NOT in need of urgent care, please call the clinic to reschedule your pet’s appointment to a time when you are feeling better. 
  • If you are feeling unwell and your pet NEEDS urgent veterinary care, sending a healthy friend or family member is the best option. If you are unable to send a healthy friend or family member with your pet, please contact us so we can provide you options for your pet’s care.

 Please know that this was not an easy decision to make, and caring for our team members, our clients, and your pets is the cornerstone of our culture. We hope by working together, we can all do our part to help keep our community safe.
